Director, Corporate Security

Job Description
The EVRAZ North American Corporate office is located in downtown Chicago in the AON Center. We are looking for a Director, Corporate Security.

This is a newly created position in which this person will be tasked with building and managing business security for North America.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Analyze and audit risks related to fraud, theft and security.

Build and implement a system of fraud prevention, detection and investigation.

Interact with all levels of management.

Act on whistleblower signals related to all areas of business security and fraud.

Conduct investigative research, analyze findings and factual information regarding individuals, EVRAZ or other entities.

Conduct financial analysis during investigations.

Initiate and participate in inventory, financial and audit checks.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an accomplished, self-motivated and proactive leader with hands-on experience of preventing and investigating fraud, as well as, starting up new complex projects and building new teams.

The candidate will also possess:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accounting, finance, criminal justice or forensic science.

Strong strategy and planning skills.

Strong analytical & financial skills.

Excellent communication, persuasion and problem-solving skills.

Exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and resourcefulness.
strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in audit, Police or Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is strongly preferred.

Prior investigative or research experience in business or investigative reporting is strongly preferred.

Must be willing to travel up to 40%.

Private detective license is strongly preferred.
