Job Description
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Provide leadership and direction for Global Trade Compliance Services program initiatives.

Implement and manage the administration of the company’s Global Trade Compliance policy throughout the global organization.

Ensure that all company entities and operations are fully compliant with all government mandated trade laws and regulations.

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the company’s foreign agent business partners are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Work proactively and corroboratively with global customers on trade compliance related matters to resolve issues, ensure compliance, prevent unnecessary delays in shipments and loss of revenue, and avoid penalties and fines.

Actively engage with key government agencies, organizations, and representatives to resolve any compliance issues and to establish open lines of communication.

Coordinate actions with CEVA's Chief Legal Officer and global, regional and country managers.

Develop and implement procedures and controls to ensure adequate and appropriate communication and information flow throughout the global organization regarding all aspects of the Company’s global trade compliance requirements and processes.
Review, evaluate, and approve all policies, plans, and programs affecting global trade compliance, providing input into business decisions based on regulatory implications.

Qualifications
Summary of Experience and Education

High School Degree or GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Civil Law, Economics, Transportation, Supply Chain or a related discipline preferred.
Minimum seven years related experience in Global Trade Compliance.
Minimum five years industry experience preferred.
Minimum five years previous supervisory or managerial experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Functional understanding of freight forwarding, supply chain management, or third party logistics.

In depth knowledge of applicable domestic and international government trade laws and regulations.

Extensive expertise and experience in developing, implementing and managing global trade compliance policies, programs and products applicable to the transportation, freight management, logistics and supply chain operations.

Experienced in managing and ensuring compliance with government trade laws and
regulations.

Experienced in monitoring and ensuring that the company’s foreign agent business partners are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Extensive experience working with key government agencies, organizations and representatives.

Experience working with global customers on trade compliance related matters to resolve issues, ensure compliance, prevent unnecessary delays in shipments and loss of revenue, and avoid penalties and fines.

Demonstrated leadership skills both in influencing a complex organization and in driving and managing global trade compliance services initiatives.

Uncompromised integrity.

Experienced in financial management (P & L, balance sheet, forecasting, and budgets) to effectuate return on investment.

Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

Skilled in developing and using collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals, and developing individual relationships.

Strong interpersonal skills (maturity, good judgment, diplomacy and patience) and strong consulting and presentation skills.

Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.

Proficient in project management methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals.

Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and specific job related software applications.

Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Licenses and Certifications

U.S. Customs Broker License preferred.
Certified Export Compliance Officer (USECO) preferred.
Travel

Travel is required for up to 60% of the time in this position. Travel identified is approximately 25% domestic (within the United States) and approximately 75% international (outside of the United States).
