Director of North American Marketing
Position Overview
The North America Marketing Director is responsible for planning, development and implementation of Proto Labs marketing and promotional strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities in North America, with a focus on the United States and Canada, including the development and presentation of the company?s brand across all product and service lines. Directs the efforts of the marketing staff in a variety of projects related to generating sales leads and building awareness of the Proto Labs brand.
Responsibilities
Specific duties include:
Lead the development of media planning, communications and creative development of all marketing programs and customer communications including print, direct mail, trade shows, public website, newsletters, sales collateral and email communications
Provide leadership for Proto Labs PPC and SEM activities
Provide leadership for Proto Labs promotional programs including the Cool Idea! program and others to be developed
Together with the VP of Marketing, help formulate and execute the company?s brand strategy
Responsible for working with team members to guide editorial and creative direction
Work closely with marketing team and agency resources to create consistent, clear messaging platform
Liaise with sales to ensure that all communications are consistent with priorities and sales selling cycle and methodology
Evaluate and select advertising agencies and other outside vendors where appropriate
Continuously identify and evaluate key marketplace trends to develop marketing partnerships with like-minded brands to help broaden market reach
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
Provide leadership for the integrity of customer data obtained through outside lists or through internal customer database
Recommend short and long-term department goals and objectives to the Vice President of Marketing
Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel and outside agencies
Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, promote and guide department employees
Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing department
Provide leadership for the Marketing Automation function, including Pardot and Demandbase
Develop and manage marketing budget
Lead the development of appropriate public relations and community outreach initiatives
Establish and implement short and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
10 ? 15 years of previous marketing experience
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Experience using computer and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc)
Experience with Marketing Automation (Pardot, Neolane, Marketo, Eloqua, or similar)
Understand search engine marketing and PPC tactics and management
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Education Requirements:
4 year college degree, preferably in Marketing is required |
