Responsibilities:
Generate AFE’s.
Design and implement well programs, including vertical, directional and horizontal wellbore paths.
Communicate with rig and field personnel and provide technical and engineering support to drilling operations.
Monitor the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, compare actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommend changes or improvements to rig work techniques, which could lead to optimization of expenditure.
Establish and administer drilling and service contracts.
Work with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well.
Evaluate new drilling equipment and procedures to reduce cost and increase drilling efficiency.
Initiate studies to solve drilling problems and recommends ideas to enhance drilling performance.
Liaison with contractors and suppliers.
Monitor safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the well.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably Petroleum Engineering
3+ years experience working in the oil/gas industry
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in MicroSoft office
Ability to handle multiple assignments of diverse tasks with differing priorities by using effective time and project management. |
