Chesapeake Energy Corporation is seeking talented individuals for the position of Drilling Foreman II. This position is located in Oklahoma. The Drilling Foreman II is responsible for all field supervision of drilling activities, including contract crews, for job quality, safety and overall cost. The Drilling Foreman II is viewed as an advanced Drilling Engineer, capable of handling most problems except those requiring supervisory assistance. Handles assignments of a broad scope and moderate difficulty. Under very limited review of daily work, incumbents are viewed as competent in all areas. Able to solve most problems independently. Acts as a lead for less experienced employees by providing guidance and communicating best practices. May maintain project management control over certain databases and processes. The ideal person has at least three years of experience.

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

Manage all aspects of drilling operations at the well site.

Supervise all well site personnel, including contractors.

Provide support to Drilling Superintendents in the day to day well management activities.

Coordinate and work closely with the Operations, Geology, and Land Departments in support of drilling operations.

Track costs by entering into Wellview, reviewing and approving invoices, costs, and price quotes.

Enter and send daily drilling rig reports via Wellview.

Evaluate data using various resources in order to improve future drilling operations and to reduce costs.

Perform all duties in accordance with Chesapeake’s Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.


Qualifications


Ability to use rigorous logic, critical thinking skills and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.

Demonstrate strong computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.

Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.

Practical knowledge of drilling operations

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Technology or other discipline, or equivalent experience.

Three years experience in drilling operations.

- Preferred

Well control certification.

H2S gas certification.
