Electrical-Controls Engineer

Job Description
Curtis Metal Finishing is a leading provider of bulk metal finishing and heat treating for the automotive and fastener industries. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Commercial Steel Treating Corporation, and operates 4 plants in Michigan and Illinois.

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the design, integration, and administration of control systems.
•Development and testing of these systems.
•These include PLC systems, HMI packages and SCADA systems. Current equipment/software includes Allen Bradley PLC (RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5, Control Logix), Siemens PLC (Step 7), Wonderware, WinCC, various OPC server software, and various HMI panels/software. Candidate must have experience in at least some of these systems and be capable of learning to support the others.
•Visual Basic.NET programming experience is a plus but not required.
•May be required to act as project leader with additional programming personnel on various projects.
•Project work will include the modification and maintenance of existing systems as well as the design and development of new systems.

Requirements:
•The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in controls programming.
•This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities.
•A BS in Electrical or Computer Science/Engineering is desired.
•A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position is required. Experience should include some process control work.
•Occasional travel to Illinois may be required.
