| Job Description | JOB DESCRIPTION
This person is responsible for the electrical design and development of Baldor-Reliance large motors. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1.Electrical design of high power (500 hp - 15,000 hp) machines that conform to applicable government regulations, customer specifications, and project requirements.
2.Testing, and implementation of new electrical materials such as insulation and electrical steels.
3.Work within a multidiscipline product design engineering team to fulfill project requirements within designated time and cost targets.
4.Support Marketing and Sales with technical quotations, problem solving, proposal generation, and performance data.
5.Work with plant based engineering and manufacturing teams to support customer order issues.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree is required.
EXPERIENCE
The following are required unless otherwise noted:
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
1.0-5 years of experience in design of electric motors, generators, transformers, or similar equipment.
2.Must have a strong work ethic and a persistent nature.
3.Strong team and communication skills.
4.Programming experience is a plus.
5.Experience with SAP is a plus.
6.Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, and / or electromagnetic modeling software is a plus.
Physical and Mental Requirements of this job:
1.Must be able to sit for majority of the day.
2.Must be able to travel multiple times daily from the office to various parts of the testing facility.
3.Must be able to manage multiple assignments and schedule time accordingly.
4.A four month orientation period at the manufacturing facility in Kings Mountain, NC is required prior to permanent placement in Greenville, SC. Specifics on scheduling this orientation period are negotiable. |
