Job Description:
Under general direction, performs an assortment of complex engineering duties such as the planning of manufacturing, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus.
Prepares and studies technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps. Designs, implements, maintains, and improves electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial purposes. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Requires 8 or more years of applicable progressively complex Electrical Engineering experience.
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Expert with analytical and CAD software. Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans

Distributor Products, a $170 million dollar division of Lennox
International and a leading company in the HVAC market, located in
north central Mississippi, is looking for an Electrical Controls
Engineer. This highly talented individual should have experience
in industrial controls design and PLC, HMI, and VB
programming. Prefer experience in capital equipment project
management including equipment specification, design and
installation, machine upgrades, modifications, and repairs. A
candidate with expertise in sheet metal and copper tubing
manufacturing processes is a plus.
Highly
qualified applicants will have a 4 year BS degree in Electrical
Engineering or related engineering degree with eight to ten years of
experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have
demonstrated project management and analytical problem solving skills
and possess excellent interpersonal skills. |
