Position Overview
The Electrical Process Engineer will work under the direction of the Hopkinton Engineering Supervisor supporting the Test Execution team. The Electrical Process Engineer will be responsible for developing operation procedures for conducting quality cell testing for internal research, development and customer validation. This individual will be expected to learn and be the resident expert on battery test equipment and software. This role will encompass maintaining and improving process equipment. The role will also require documenting procedures and performing training to ensure operational safety, quality and equipment utilization.
Primary responsibilities
Maintain & develop improvements for electrical test equipment
Develop and document work instructions for process procedures and equipment maintenance
Operate equipment and run test software to execute requested tests
Design and implement standardized mechanical test fixtures
Learn test software and troubleshoot cell test recipes
Perform cell measurements and record data
Create data base using Excel macros, MS Access or other programming

Ability to mentor engineering technicians and lead projects
Ability to work independently or as a member of a small team
Strong electrical and computer software aptitude
Excellent interpersonal skills
Quick learner and adaptable to rapid change
Education/Experience
Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical, Physics, Computer Engineering.
Three or more years of relevant work experience in an electrical quality test lab and or electronics device manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of electrical and electrochemical principles |
