Role Description
Logic PD is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Minneapolis location. This position is responsible for defining product requirements, translating requirements to implementable architectures, performing detailed design work, and ensuring the end product is optimized for manufacturability.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Translate product requirements into implementable architectures

· Perform detailed electronic design of microprocessor based platforms and related analog/digital circuits. This will include drawing of circuits themselves after basic analysis and paper design activity using a schematic CAD tool along with simulation as appropriate using tools such as SPICE or Hyperlinx.

· Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines

· Communicate with other engineers and supervising project managers to coordinate and assure project completion

· Work with other engineers from multiple disciplines to help define product requirements

· Prepare technical data such as design verification test results, written rework instructions, PCB placement and routing guidelines and similar technical instruction documents

· Participate actively in design reviews of circuits created by self or by peers

· Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, customer focused, and reliable

· Maintain organized history of design artifacts utilizing a version control system and/or like tools

· Mentor other engineers as they work through day-to-day technical challenges

· Assist in preparing proposal documentation and integrate into customer specifications

· Other duties as assigned




Requirements
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
· 5+ years experience in product design
· Experience with embedded systems/microprocessor based design experience
· Experience with functional aspects of product design including: requirements understanding, general electrical design analysis and documentation creation, design for manufacturing/design for test, and design verification
· Experience working in teams including engineers from multiple engineering disciplines
· Experience with analog design concepts and design tools such as SPICE and HyperLynx preferred
· Experience with RF systems preferred
· Experience in medical device design or other regulated industries preferred
· Strong communication skills including the ability to write technical specifications and design documentation, create and author templates for engineering documents, create project proposals with technical details, present verbally in one-on-one or group settings
· Able to work in a fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities to ensure superior customer satisfaction
· Ability to analyze customer requirements for feasibility, cost and development timeline
· Ability to work with both internal and external (customer) resources
· Experience with MS Office products
