Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the manufacturing and design aspects of custom ink jet print heads and their associated electronics.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


•Release and maintain electronics used in the print heads themselves as well as systems for driving these print heads.
•Understand and perform electrical design (cad drawings, engineering analysis, and test plans) in order to maintain products once released.
•Participate in the product development cycle providing insight in the areas of manufacturability and testability.
•Responsible for the quality of products released to the field.
•Responsible for revision control, field upgrades, and compatibility requirements.
•Review system level specifications for critical design characteristics.
•Create and maintain relationships with contract manufacturers for electronics.
•Create and maintain internal processes involving the MFG of electrical devices.


Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:


•BSEE or equivalent years of related experience, and three or more years of experience.
•Demonstrated success in bringing products through the release cycle. This should include: debug, manufacture, technical support, maintenance, and upgrades.
•Strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
•Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity. Background in Six Sigma problem solving and lean manufacturing.
•Electronics CAD experience, Altium or equivalent.
•3D CAD experience, Solidworks or equivalent 3d modeling system
•Experience with analog and digital circuits
•Familiar with printed circuit board fabrication and assembly processes.
•Ability to work across several functional departments.
•Experience with structured problem solving methodologies (Cp/CpK, Gage R&R, FMEA, DOE)

DESIRED:


•Experience in manufacturing or clean room protocol.
•Knowledgeable in areas related to printing and print systems, including mechanical transport and fluid handling systems, electronic packaging, enclosures, and regulatory requirements.

•Knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5)
