Electrician and Machine PLC Programming Technician
Overview: ACT is a growing manufacturer of custom machinery employing electrical controls in relay logic as well as programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) requiring HMI screen development, and controlling a wide variety of electro-mechanical devices, and system wiring. If you cannot program PLC's, please do not apply.
Primary Responsibilities:
Estimate, develop and build electrical control circuitry in concert with initial system renderings, engineered drafts, and final build specifications provided in formats ranging from sketches to AutoCAD for widely varying projects for machines that employ hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as steam, gas, or electrical heating. Automation and integration with existing facility infrastructure common. Create schematics, logic diagrams, instructions and have the ability to program a wide variety of PLC’s including, but not limited to, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and IDEC. Wire and program VFD’s. Wire machinery on the floor at various stages through the machine’s completion process, and carry the electrical troubleshooting and QC through customer run-off with excellent customer interface capabilities. The successful candidate must also have verifiable experience in troubleshooting machine control problems in a professional manner. Must be able to proactively report progress against schedules, work as a leader and not a follower, and have a very high degree of confidence, while maintaining high levels of organization.
Must have a willingness to maintain skills as well as to stay at the cutting edge of machine control technologies.
Requirements:
Technical degree with minimum 2 years of experience, OR 5 years of direct experience
Must have PLC experience.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
Excellent computer skills |
