| Job Description | This position provides engineering services for the Consumer Products Division operations (sugar packaging and rice processing). Focus is to improve current operations and facilitate the growth of the product line with new products, packages, and equipment.
Primary responsibilities include technical support to production and maintenance, working with contractors to implement capital projects, feasibility for improvements, equipment and system evaluation, planning and execution of engineering projects.
Candidate must be a self starter and have experience in a fast-paced, challenging and demanding environment with measurable successes and accomplishments.
Job Requirements
Qualifications: (i.e., Skills/Knowledge/Education/Experience/etc.)
•Minimum 5 years of Engineering experience. Consumer Product Goods/ Foods industry experience a plus.
•Four year college degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical)
•Strong communication, teamwork skills and demonstrated leadership ability
•Ability to assess and implement continuous improvement and drive change
•Working knowledge of engineering industrial standards
•Experience with Capital Projects planning and implementation
•Three to five years of AutoCAD experience. 3D experience a plus
•Ability to comply with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
•MS Office (Excel / Word / Project / Email) required
•High degree of safety awareness in an industrial setting
•Familiarity with material handling and packaging equipment a plus
•Allen-Bradley PLC programming & troubleshooting experience a plus.
•Rockwell or Wonderware HMI (or equivalent) programming a plus. |
