| Job Description | Aqua America, Inc. is one of the largest investor owned water utility companies in the nation. Aqua provides water and wastewater services to approximately 3 million people in 9 states and continues to grow its operations through acquisitions.
We are presently looking to fill a Engineer position, in the Indianapolis, IN area. The hiring range for this position is between $70,700 - $91,800 depending on experience.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Provides engineering support to all Divisions and Departments of the company as directed by the Regional Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for planning for assigned divisions/systems.
Coordination of monthly capital meetings with operational personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital.
Driver/coordinator of the 5 year capital plan for assigned divisions/systems.
Modeling and review of 1st approval of all waterline and sewer projects. Responsible for design of assigned projects (out of ordinary projects – tanks, boosters, lift stations, WTP projects, WWTP projects, regulating vaults, etc.).
Setup on Powerplant and Lawson for all assigned projects. Responsible for submittal of any required permits and approvals.
Responsible for obtaining necessary easements for all assigned projects. Responsible for bidding, preparation and obtaining approvals for requisitions. Manages construction.
Responsible for the processing of invoices. Completes all necessary paperwork needed for accounting to close the project.
Responsible for Due Diligence for possible new acquisitions.Other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL OR REGISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS:
An engineering degree is required. Registered professional engineer in Indiana or obtain one within a year. Five plus years’ experience in water and wastewater is preferred.
