| Job Description | We are looking for an Engineer in our Conroe, TX location. This position will report to the Vice President, Engineering, CST Covers and is an exempt position.
Here are some details about this position:
Responsibilities: •Performs structural designs given specified load requirements, geometric constraints and contractual requirements.
•Coordinates engineering design work with Project Management, Manufacturing, and Field Construction.
•Monitors engineering design schedules and engineering performance against budgets.
•Troubleshoots and communicates with Manufacturing and Field Construction personnel during the manufacturing and installation phases of the project.
•Interfaces on technical issues with project managers, customers and general contractors.
•Provides technical direction to Detailers and Designers throughout all phases of the design process, with particular emphasis in the use of sound structural details.
Formal Education & Certification
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a focus in structural engineering from an accredited program.
Knowledge & Experience
•Proficiency using FE design codes such as SAP2000, STAAD and SolidWorks Simulation
•Familiarity with AutoCAD
•A minimum of 2 years of structural design experience
