Description and Requirements:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will use their expertise to lead development and implementation of new and enhanced systems within a 300+ employee, multi-CAD Engineering Department. This first level supervisory position in the Engineering Department manages others while contributing individual technical work. Your vision, direction, and technical experience are vitally needed to enhance our system initiatives.

Specific Duties:


Manage a team in the Design & Manufacturing Systems Group, provide proactive leadership and employee development to achieve Dart’s goals in activities related to CAD, CAM, PDM, PLM systems responsibilities.

Provide direction, technical oversight, and support resources for the technical problem solving, and support of existing processes within the purview of the Design & Manufacturing Systems Group.

Provide direction, technical oversight, and support resources for the development of current and future CAD, CAM, CAE, PDM, PLM system processes.

Lead projects of significant scope and contribute expertise as required on other projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of demonstrated leadership in technical capabilities, involvement in problem solving teams, and mentoring of junior employees, 8 years preferred

Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field

Requires 5 years of supervisory experience, 8 years preferred

Requires 10 years of relevant professional mechanical CAD/CAM/PLM experience

Requires 5 years of experience as a technical resource for a manufacturing/production process, 8 years preferred

Requires 5 years of overseeing development and implementation of standards, practices and procedures for projects and support work, 8 years preferred

Requires project and program management planning and organizational skills

Requires strong verbal and written communication

Requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally

Requires a valid drivers license and favorable motor vehicle record check

Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a passport

Requires 5 years of experience using MS Word and Excel

Prefer experience with MS PowerPoint and Lotus Notes

Prefer experience with business process mapping and establishment within an engineering environment

Prefer experience implementing Teamcenter

Prefer SAP experience
