Summit Polymers is an automotive supplier of injection molded interior trim, which specializes in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of feature based registers, consoles and trim panels. We currently have a great opportunity to join our team at Summit's Technical Center in Portage, MI as a Program Manager responsible for supporting our global customer base.
This is responsible technical work involving the development and design of one or more components involved in a product. Responsible for leading a team through the product development cycle from design to production. Places and follows injection molding tooling with vendor shops. Interfaces with customers in both engineering and manufacturing capacities. Establish and maintain a good working relationship, prior to and during launch, with customer launch management. Responsible for completing the program within the design, engineering and tooling budgets; and responsible for the supervision and review of project engineers that may be assigned to programs of direct responsibility. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. This position could require up to 20% travel.

Requirements:
B.S. degree in Engineering and 2 years manufacturing (automotive related preferred) experience or some college instruction [preferably in an engineering curriculum] and 7 years progressive manufacturing experience including 2 years in engineering. Must meet minimum testing requirements. Agreement to complete all post-hire training. |
