Responsibilities include:

Plan and oversee the design and evaluation of non-traditional water and wastewater projects, drainage utility systems and other environmental engineering projects.
Direct engineering studies, reports, plans and specifications, and opinions of probable construction costs for major projects helping the project team understand the clients program needs and being the client’s advocate for the project.
Provide quality assurance and control checks. Resolve a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
Communicate and interact with the client (being the primary point of contact), project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project.
Assist in the capture of new clients or development of new services to existing clients, actively participate in client-focused organizations, assist in the development of business plans, proposal and qualification development, and participate in long-term business growth strategies development.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or like degree with relevant experience
Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required; preferably in the state of Tennessee.
Minimum of 5 years experience in environmental engineering consulting for local government/municipal or industrial clients; Must include at least 2 years in a project management role.
Understanding of environmental regulations and potential application to clients’ needs required
Experience in storm water quality and quantity management required
Experience in process wastewater management and treatment a plus
Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues, managing and mentoring staff, leading meetings with clients, and directing the completion of technical reports
