 Overview
 Execute, and maintain export compliance policies and procedures to ensure Donaldson's compliance with U.S. export regulations, while overseeing the administration and continuous improvement of the company's U.S. export trade compliance program.
 
 Essential Duties/Responsibilities
 
 Analyze and interprets requirements for compliance as they relate to:
 
 Export Administration Regulations (EAR) of the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS),U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC),
 International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) of the U.S. Department of State;
 Census Bureau, and other applicable Government Agency rules and regulations
 
 Develop processes and procedures and support the implementation of an Export Management and Compliance Program
 
 Conduct regular audits of export shipment files and implement process improvements to ensure execution of corrective actions for non-compliant shipments or compliance processes
 
 Manage process to ensure export transaction screening and risk mitigation (i.e. Denied Persons List, Specially Designated Nationals List, Department of State Debarred Parties List and the Department of Commerce Entity List as well as any other relevant lists)
 
 Prepare and file for commodity classifications and/or commodity jurisdiction requests as necessary and maintain adequate technical and legal backup documentation
 
 Direct the export freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure they meet all requirements and to address export related inquiries
 
 Conduct regular export compliance process reviews with service provider to assure export compliance effectiveness and identify areas of weakness for improvement
 
 Work with relevant departments and employees impacting export compliance to provide guidance, training, and direction with respect to export compliance, shipping procedures, Incoterms, and license requirements for commodities, software and technology
 
 Conduct training on government laws, rules and regulations as they pertain to goods, software and technology, as well as company's policy and procedures, to counterparts and other stake holders within the operating entities as needed
 
 Manage staff person responsible for:
 
 Maintaining License for ITAR controlled product
 
 Creating commercial documents for export shipments and AES filing
 
 Ensuring the maintenance of required documents to meet record keeping requirements
 
 Determining and maintaining the ECCNs and license requirements
 
 Actively participate in industry groups and trade associations
 
 Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external Customers
 
 Performs staff management duties, including resource planning and performance management; ensures that staff is trained appropriately
 
 Establishes priorities, goals and metrics for department and individual performance
 
 Qualifications
 
 Required Experience
 BS or BA in International Business, Logistics, business or related field
 Minimum of 8 years experience in Export Trade Compliance
 Subject matter expertise in ITAR, EAR, and OFAC
 Experience with AES filing
 Experience with Export Licensing and ITAR
 Detailed and Analytical
 Strong written and verbal communication
 Ability to travel up to 25%
