Job Description:
Microsemi PPG Bend has an opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic.
Summary:
This position is responsible for the maintenance of buildings and mechanical systems - including HVAC, compressed gasses, fluid systems, exhaust and life safety systems.
Candidate must work well with others and be a motivated self-starter who can handle multiple tasks and priorities. Overtime and weekend work in order to schedule around production activity is expected.
Essential Functions:
Perform repair and maintenance of HVAC systems for clean room and office areas including:
Temperature & humidity control
Pressure & airflow balancing
Particle levels
Install, maintain and repair building and process-related plumbing and piping systems such as CDA and process cooling water.
Must be comfortable working around hazardous chemicals and adhering to established safety practices
Respond to after-hours emergency calls
Emergency Response Team member
Manage administrative work related to facility maintenance
Ordering materials
Coordinate with contractors
Plan and track project spending
Assist with all aspects of building maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
Read and develop technical blueprints, drawings and sketches.
HVAC experience
At least 8 years of experience as a plumber/pipe fitter
Familiarity with hot and chilled water systems
Computer skills: Excel, Outlook, MS Word
Desirable Qualifications:
ASHRAE Certifications
Clean room protocol experience
Orbital welding experience
Experience with industrial controls, including programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives and liquid level systems.
Experience with toxic gas detection systems
This position will work swing shift. |
