Facility Security Officer Position Overview:
This diverse role is critical to the division's ability to meet our business objectives. Your goal as the FSO will be to interpret, implement and maintain a highly effective security program consistent with all regulatory, Government policies (National Industrial Security Program, ""NISP"" and JFAN) and supplemental guidance.
Responsibilities & Objectives:
The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (physical and non-tangible) protecting classified information and the protection of company assets. FSO must consistently interpret, implement and maintain a highly affective security program built on Government policies and guidance. In addition, this position will work with the company facilities manager to ensure the optimal functioning of all physical building systems included the mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety programs, and ensuring asset protection on behalf of the company. Overall responsibility includes assessing and minimizing risk and liability as well as providing a safe and efficient work environment for all employees.
The FSO must objectively and professionally conduct investigations regarding sensitive issues and violations of written policies, and may need to issue disciplinary guidance to management..

Basic Qualifications & Education:
College degree with previous experience in a related field preferred
Combination of professional experience (3-5 years) as an FSO with a medium to large size company and a proven history of implementing and managing a highly successful NISP program is preferred.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence & procedure manuals. Ability to present information to managers, executives, clients, and customers.
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
