| Job Description | Our Automotive Factory Automation (AFA) division seeks a qualified Field Service (Controls) Engineer.
Daifuku America Corporation is the global leader in the manufacture, installation, and service of automated material handling systems.
Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Engineer you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain our products and equipment. Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, orders and replace parts as needed. You will also determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
Qualifications:
• BS technical degree in electrical, mechanical or automation engineering.
• Two to four years in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Strong PLC programming skills in a hands-on field construction environment.
• Machinery installation experience.
• The ability to choose and manage sub contractors, manage schedules and budgets.
• The skill to meet with customers and identify needs and potential sales opportunities.
• Requires debugging skills during commissioning of new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment.
• Proficiency with MS office, particularly Excel and general computer skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
• Must be available to work weekends, nights, overtime, and holidays, as needed.
• Must be flexible as the position may require traveling to any of our job sites within the US, Canada, or Mexico. |
