Field Service Engineer

Job Description
As Field Service Engineer you will have responsibility for supporting our high-precision, high-speed CNC systems on the phone and in the field. This includes conducting machine installation, service and support efforts domestically and internationally. You will be the face of Microlution’s service and support in front of our customers as the company continues to grow! You should have knowledge of CNC machinery and experience in machine tool service industries.

Responsibilities:

Work with the sales team as well as directly with customers to delivery best-in-class service and support
Respond to customer service and support inquiries
Execute machine installation, service and support efforts
Assist in maintaining and updating service and support documentation
Approximately 50% travel (of which the majority will be out-of-state travel)
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

A detailed knowledge of the following technologies:
CNC milling and turning equipment, CNC controllers and PLCs
Electro-mechanical systems
Able to read, interpret and work from assembly drawings and schematics
Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks and other measurement devices
Experience with soldering, wire harness fabrication
Experience with hand tools and fabrication equipment
Self-motivated with a proven track record in manufacturing (industrial equipment experience a plus)
Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of different customer personnel including machine operators, manufacturing engineers and others
Organized and tidy
Experience and Education:

A minimum of 10 years related work experience
Associates degree (technical discipline preferred); or equivalent work experience
