Who You Are:

You are a self starter that gives the highest professional level of technical support and customer service. You have a strong aptitude for learning new technology and possess a can-do attitude and take ownership approach.


Your Key Responsibilities:

•Provide equipment service at customer locations; service to include installation, repair, calibration, testing, preventative maintenance, basic operator training, and computer upgrades.
•Provide phone support for customers and/or other Flow technicians.
•Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales staff, technicians and distributors.
•Interface effectively with other departments to resolve customer problems and situations.
•Complete service documentation and paperwork as required.
•Display excellent judgment in the area of time and expense management.
•As a Flow International Corporation representative promote and maintain excellent customer relations through the high standards of personal appearance, ethics and good judgment.
•Travel to customer locations on short notice, often outside of normal business hours and for extended periods of time. Overall travel may exceed 70%.
•Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Your Qualifications:
•Excellent interpersonal skills focused on team success.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, execute and report project status.
•Demonstrated ability for creative thinking and independent judgment to analyze and solve technical problems.
•Able to travel outside of an assigned geography may be required from time to time, including consecutive weeks of travel (may include international travel).
•Ability to work a flexible schedule including holiday and weekends if needed.
•Knowledge of PC operating systems.
•Strong aptitude for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronics.
•Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
•CNC or other machine tool programming experience preferred but not required.
•Must be able to use a variety of common hand tools and precision measuring devices.
•Must be able to read/follow drawings, blueprints and technical manuals.
•Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.


Your Education/Experience:
•A degree in Electronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering, or a 2 year relevant technical training program or a combination of education and demonstrated work experience.
•A minimum of 2 years field service or relevant experience in one or more of the areas including robotics, motion controls, mechanical engineering, hydraulics, or other capital equipment.
