| Job Description | Hartwig currently has an opportunity open for a highly motivated and qualified Field Service Engineer for our service team in Houston, TX. We are seeking a responsible team member who is comfortable handling customer accounts, managing time and paperwork, driving a company van to the customer and providing world class customer service. This position is responsible for:
?Conducting high quality, efficient and timely repair, preventative maintenance, and machine/tooling installations as assigned.
?Performing troubleshooting and problem solving of machine tools.
?Training and instructing customers, and internal team members, on proper installation, service/repair procedures for current and new equipment/machines and processes.
?Consulting with other team members, internal departments and/or external vendors to resolve issues related to installation and service/repair.
?Accurately documenting, completing and reporting required information for work records and reports.
?Continuously reviewing current processes and searches for improvement methods. Recommending modifications and improvements to machine/equipment, processes and procedures.
To join the Hartwig team, the ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
?Minimum 5 years of mechanical work experience in troubleshooting, repair and installation.
?Strong electrical troubleshooting experience.
?Preferred formal education/training in the troubleshooting, repair and installation of CNC Machine Tool Products.
?Demonstrated application and commitment of customer satisfaction.
?Good interpersonal communication skills
?Able to maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers, peers, builder representatives and suppliers.
?Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning and organization skills.
?Able to use PC and job related software/programs for programming, documentation/record keeping.
?Travel required.
