| Job Description | Description: Parkinson Technologies Inc., a growing manufacturer of winding and plastic processing equipment, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician / Engineer. The individual will report to the Field Service Manager and be responsible for field support of our custom-designed equipment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance and 401(K) plan. Parkinson Technologies is a dynamic, expanding, OEM manufacturer and integrator of web handling, slitting, plastic extrusion and plastic filtering machinery. We are looking for an experienced electro-mechanical technician / engineer. If you enjoy making industrial machinery perform, and like to travel to installation locations worldwide, then this is an ideal opportunity.
Responsibilities:
•Perform Start-up and Commissioning of complex web handling and plastics processing machinery both in the field and in house.
•Debug and modify PLC, HMI and Variable Speed drives.
•Analyze and troubleshoot machinery and implement electro-mechanical field modifications.
•Ensure that our equipment meets all functional specifications.
•Interface with customers to produce a successful and positive operational outcome.
Qualifications:
•Associates/technical degree or 10+ years technical experience, BSEE a plus.
•Experience with web handling, winding and/or continuous processing plastics equipment.
•PLC programming and debug proficiency (AB SLC5/ControlLogix5000 – Siemens a plus).
•AC Vector drive application and tuning experience.
•Ability to perform HMI screen modifications.
•Creative problem solving ability.
•Strong mechanical aptitude.
•Ability to work independently in the field.
Additional Considerations:
•Willingness to travel (at least 50%)
•Web handling, winding and/or continuous plastic process knowledge a plus.
