Job Description
SCOR Global Life Americas Reinsurance Co. seeks a Financial Actuary in Charlotte, NC to be responsible for actuarial activities associated with the Life Solutions client group.
Req’s: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience performing actuarial duties for a life insurance or reinsurance company. Prior experience must include managing actuarial reporting, embedded value projection, and earnings analysis projects; representing Actuarial or Actuarial Reporting departments, including improvement of quality, accuracy and/or efficiency of modeling or reporting processes; identifying and communicating data quality issues in client-provided inforce extracts and reserving information; working closely with actuarial, data processing, operations and product management teams to improve quality of incoming client data; utilizing industry software applications, including Prophet, to build and analyze complex models, such as models for traditional life and universal life products, and perform valuation to deliver required results, including financial projection for embedded value analysis, cash flow testing, and DAC/VOBA recoverability tests; identifying and implementing departmental processes and controls and ensuring they are documented; and communicating with company executives on broad business issues, including how the interaction of business processes and decisions affects business plans. Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation is required. |
