POSITION INFORMATION:

Job/Position Summary:

Supervise, direct and coordinate electrical activities of Area Shift Maintenance
Supervisors and technicians reporting to this position.

Maintain and promote an environment of No Accident/No Incident approach and focus where safety is the overriding priority.

Demonstrated record of establishing and meeting or exceeding goals and objectives

Plan and schedule electrical rolling maintenance functions in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve throughput utilizing lean manufacturing principles.

Develop electrical rolling maintenance strategies and innovations based on operating assessment of the mills and equipment downtime.

Ability to implement, communicate and affect change.

Communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization.

Provide clear direction and leadership in a manufacturing maintenance environment

Respond to mill and plant equipment breakdowns and coordinate the efforts of all maintenance technicians to ensure the timely completion of needed corrective work.

Proactively respond, prioritize, and manage various issues in a timely manner

Proven record of treating everyone with respect and dignity

Train, develop, and evaluate maintenance technicians.

Coach and counsel employees as necessary. Assess employee discipline when required.

Develop, maintain, and present maintenance reports as required by senior management
Implement and enforce Company policies and procedures

Manage and control the Maintenance employee time sheets and attendance records.

Implement and maintain 5S principles to ensure good environmental & housekeeping standards and behaviors.

Enforce a high standard to expected workmanship in all endeavors, at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent

Technical degree, Journeyman’s card or completion of trade apprenticeship program

At least five (5) years of electrical maintenance supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Good work related computer skills and CMMS/Computer familiarity

Strong electrical background with prior supervisory experience

Strong interpersonal skills to lead, manage, and affect change

Electrical knowledge of plant instrumentation, PLC and motor controls and excellent troubleshooting and failure analysis skills

Mechanical knowledge of millwright, welder, machinist, and precision mechanic responsibilities or a plus.

Development and leadership of an effective team

Ability to communicate, oral and written, effectively at all levels

Good organizational skills

Ability to take initiative, provide leadership, and meet deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business/Management field with five (5) years maintenance experience in metal rolling or union manufacturing facility

Date Position Available: Immediately

Salary: Salary commensurate with experience

Special Instructions:

The successful candidate must pass a drug screen as well as undergo a background screen which includes, but is not limited to, criminal, employment, and education verifications.
