This position is for ConvaTec, an industry leading provider of ostomy, skin care and wound care products and services. This position reports into Global Ostomy Marketing & Sales Business Unit and is responsible for ostomy brands and product introductions.
The Global Product Manager will be responsible for the creation and execution of the brand strategy. This position will work very closely with global markets, including global and local marketing and sales teams. In addition, the GPM will be the key interface between R&D, manufacturing and supply chain, regulatory, and finance to ensure strong and ongoing Life Cycle Management of the brands, and will serve as the Marketing representative on key development programs. It requires the candidate to be both a brand champion worldwide as well as a strategic business leader.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for new product launches and on-going life cycle management of the product
Develop and execute on new product launch strategy
Core team member responsible for coordinating activities among R&D, GMSC, Packaging, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Finance
Develop branding strategy and ensure alignment with Ostomy Care position and overall brand portfolio
Develop product market plans and communicate to markets
Partner with markets to develop sales tools, collateral material and brand campaigns
Develop and manage global pricing strategy
Provide support to markets regarding product/brand forecast

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
MBA with a concentration in marketing or international marketing preferred
5 plus years of Medical Device or relevant global marketing and brand management experience required.
Prior experience managing external resources, including Advertising and Public Relations agencies required
Demonstrated ability to conduct primary and secondary market research to derive key market insights is preferred
Experience working in a multi-cultural global organization leading or facilitating multi-functional teams is required
Prior marketing experience should include assessing customer needs, gaining market insights, developing and positioning global brands, and communicating with, training, and supporting global field sales teams.
