We are looking for a Head of Marine to direct and manage the Zurich North American Marine Product Underwriting function. The Head of Marine will be responsible for:
*Creating and defining the strategy for the Marine segment and will build the marketing plan for the business
*Administering and monitoring underwriting policies, rules, rating manual rules and procedures
*Providing guidance and consultation to field underwriters, acting as a referral underwriter
*Reviewing agency books of business, financial analysis as well as profit/growth results and trends to recommend and implement action plans
*Analyzing the quality and quantity of risks underwritten and prepares reports
Job Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
8 years of Marine underwriting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Leadership/Management experience strongly preferred
The ability to bring strategic direction to the Marine segment and give the segment a path forward
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable working in Global Environment
Entrepreneurial spirit to grow the current book of business and to continue to develop the Zurich footprint. |
