| Job Description | HIGH-YIELD INVESTMENT ANALYST
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Our client, a leading global investment firm with billions of dollars in assets under management, is actively looking to add an experienced Credit Investment Analyst. The Analyst will contribute to all phases of the investment process by conducting bottom-up fundamental analysis, making formal investment recommendations, and monitoring portfolio holdings of corporate and sovereign debt (high-yield, bank loans, and investment-grade) in developed markets around the world. Each Analyst on the team specializes in a particular sector or industry, and they are responsible for coverage of all securities – across the capital structure – floated by issuers within that sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct in-depth, bottoms-up fundamental analysis of corporate and sovereign developed-market issuers to produce buy/sell/hold recommendations for various credit portfolios
• Supplement financial models and cash flow projections with qualitative analysis: discussions with corporate management teams, ratings agencies, and sell-side research analysts
• Contribute to strategy discussions about portfolio structuring and risk management
• Compile research reports and investment memoranda; present to Investment Committee
QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+years of experience conducting bottom-up fundamental analysis on high-yield corporate bonds and leveraged loans
• An understanding of absolute return and total return strategies enabling recommendations of attractive credits for investment under each mandate
• MBA and CFA preferred
• Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier university
