Job Description
The Hydraulic Product Manager will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and expansion of hydraulic products and the development of their related technical documents as well as assist in coordinating the launch of new products that will be core to company's fluid power growth strategies.

Performs new product research and development evaluation functions in accordance with established company practices, procedures and objectives

Helps compile market research data on the needs of the mobile equipment industry

Maintains correspondence with the mobile hydraulics equipment market for the purpose of acquiring new product and application information

Provides technical support to company personnel

Assists in prototype installations when required and evaluates performance

Assists in field service calls to observe and correct product or application problems when applicable

Provide technical assistance to senior management

Develops and updates the product catalogs, owner manuals, product service sheets, installation guidelines, sales/training materials and required ISO ""Controlled Documents"".

Modifies the design or mounting assembly of products to meet customer demands

Maintains a technical library

Performs CAD operations

Prepares required engineering reports

Maintains close liaison relationship with Engineering Department as well as sales, training, and warranty personnel

Supervises the work assignments and provides training, direction, and guidance to the

Assistant to the Product Manager

Assists with the product and application training for company personnel

Attends career related profession organization meetings

Participates in corporate strategy planning meeting when applicable

Performs necessary design and documentation activities to maintain compliance with ISO standards

Performs design activities where applicable

Remains current on competitive product knowledge

Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Product Development

Job Requirements

Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Design, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or A.A.S. in engineering or other applicable degree with a minimum of 5 years experience working on technical side of products

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Superior interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities

Excellent planning and organization skills

Computer literate

Flexible to effectively adapt to changing conditions and job assignments

Willing to travel

Previous fluid power experience or product management a plus
