The IT Project Manager position will be responsible for the coordination and support of identification, balancing, and improvement of Enterprise Operations Management (EOM) solutions, with an emphasis in UC4 solutions.
The incumbent will work directly with global EOM resources, project teams, and business leaders to identify requirements and oversee the implementation of design, development, and support of solutions in UC4 as well as related technologies that are required to support Emerson Process Management’s increasing collaboration and sharing of knowledge across the enterprise.
Accountabilities:
Lead and Project Manage IT initiated projects requiring EOM or UC4 services and solutions.
Identify business initiatives requiring EOM / UC4 engagement.
Assist in defining, capturing, and refining business service level agreements and support procedures.
Coordinate conversion of business unit Oracle concurrent request schedules to process flows and schedules in Emerson Process Management’s enterprise scheduling utility, UC4.
Coordinate cross functional solutions (such as SQL Server / Windows and Oracle DB / Unix) via UC4.
Drive project-related activities with UC4 patch installs, utility version upgrades, and database upgrades.
Drive project-related activities with utilities and dashboards designed to track business system operations.
Continually seek information and ensure EOM team efforts and projects are in line with business unit goals – especially for large projects.
Perform business and system analyst functions evaluating and documenting project scope, options, scheduling capabilities, and functional requirements – as needed.
Oversee major issue-resolution efforts as needed (includes potential for after business hours / on-call).
Seek and identify common issues experienced in EOM / UC4 engagements and develop both short and long term plans to address them.
Seek business unit and customer feedback with EOM sharepoint and published documentation.
Develop plans to address such concerns / recommendations accordingly.
Job Requirement
Minimum Requirements:
BS/BA Degree with minimum 8 years of applicable experience OR Masters Degree with minimum 7 years of applicable experience
Professional Experience and Education:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in IT functional analysis
Minimum 2 years experience with an enterprise scheduling service / utility similar to UC4 highly desirable
Minimum 2 years experience in Project Management developing business user requirements, project plans, and process / procedure documentation
Minimum 2 years experience in a role overseeing project-related activities of other resources
Minimum 2 years working knowledge and experience with Oracle Applications 11i
Proven experience managing multiple IT projects
Basic knowledge of Oracle concurrent program administration and scheduling preferred
Basic knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is a strong plus
Must be a self started who needs minimal instruction to proceed when tasks are assigned
Must be a creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and excel in a fast-pace, dynamic environment
Able to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively to meet or exceed deadlines
Strong interpersonal interaction and teamwork skills with a customer service orientation
Able and willing to work with and through others in a global team environment
Able to assess requirements and actively influence others while moving towards a common vision or goal
