Description

Summary:
Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign, customs officers and other functional areas.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Assist in the day to day import and export operations in order to support trade compliance initiatives and objectives.
• Interact substantially with internal departments including: Manufacturing, Legal, Regulatory, Finance and Sales and Marketing along with service providers and with domestic and international suppliers.
• Perform customs clearance management. Resolve ad-hoc custom clearance daily issues by submitting needed information timely.
• Assist with country of origin and valuations related inquiries.
• Support customs audits.
• Support duty reduction programs (NAFTA, other FTAs).
• Maintain shipment & import documentation for record keeping purposes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor ISF process.
• Assist with other general trade compliance related activities and programs, such as Supply Chain Security (C-TPAT).

Qualifications

Candidate Education:
Required Bachelor's Degree
Candidate Experience:
Required 1 year Equivalent experience
Preferred Other Experience in an international trade-related or firm specializing in import/export processes and/or Medical Device
