Indrotec Staffing and Workforce Management is now hiring for experienced Mold Set Up Technicians in the plastics industry. Acceptable candidates will have set up, processing, and troubleshooting experience with hydraulic injection molding machines.
Duties and Responsiblities:
Set up and operate injection molding machines & all of the peripheral equipment
Perform mold changes along with maintenance and repair of molds for maximum efficiency
Evaluate molding processes in order to update techniques, improve quality, and productivity efficiencies
Provides effective Step by Step troubleshooting
Familiar with basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and functional gauges
Maintain a standard in quality and achieve daily requirements
Supports manufacturing and process engineering with continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Knowledge of machine process variables and how each affects part characteristics
Knowledge of part and tool design; i.e., draft angles & radii; wall thickness; gate function, location, and design; etc
Basic math skills and computer knowledge from an MRP and machine operating perspective
Read blueprints and interpret GD&T
Pass a criminal background check and drug test
A high school diploma or GED
Multi-task while working in a fast paced environment
Schedule:
Shift: 2:00PM - 10:00PM
