Injection Molding Engineer

Job Description
A plastics manufacturer of medical implants and instruments is looking for an engineer to help with the injection molding side of the business.

Responsibilities:
•Design fixtures, tools and processes for molding jobs in the most cost effective and timely manner
•Reviewing new projects and compose costs for quotation
•Knowledge of polymer structure and behavior for molding process and end product use
•Customer relations for molding accounts
•Work with strategic partners for equipment and raw material procurement
•Continuous improvement of product flow and changeovers
•Generates creative solutions, translates concepts and information into tangible results
•Demonstrates attention to detail
•Investigate and keep current with press related technologies
•Responsible for problem solving and applying creative approaches to injection molding and manufacturing challenges

Requirements:
•Experience in plastic injection molding from set-up, troubleshooting to final product packaging ?Sumitomo, Niigata, Van Dorn, Sodic press processing

•Able to lead projects for molding
•Must have a passion and vision for creating a world-leading manufacturing company
•Strong analytical skills
•Knowledge of Orthopedics materials and manufacturing methods a plus
•CAD experience in Solidworks ?Plastic flow analysis

•Strong computer skills with : ?Microsoft – Excel, Project, Powerpoint
?MRP-ERP systems
?Minitab statistical software
?Win SPC
