Central Garden & Pet Company (NASDAQ:CENT), is a leading innovator, marketer and producer of quality branded products for the pet and lawn and garden supplies markets. The Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary brands and other consumer recognized brands, is searching for an International Supplier Compliance Coordinator to support the Garden Groups International Sourcing department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and facilitate factory audits with 3rd party auditor, factory and customers
Facilitate and communicate audit Corrective Action Plan with factory, customer, and internal parties.
Maintain factory audit results, status and expiration dates in Compliance database
Research customer’s audit compliance requirements and updates other departments as necessary
Coordinate and facilitate product and packaging testing samples, maintain and communicate results
Organize production QC inspections with 3rd party auditor, factory and customer
Order retailer required custom labels
Enter factory/supplier information into customers proprietary system
Liaison with Accounts Payable department for audit/inspection and testing invoices and vendor charge backs
Coordinate supplier compliance activities and requirements with the company’s China office
Provide general support for Lowe’s, Home Depot and Wal-Mart Direct Import program requirements
Support Sourcing Managers with other projects as needed
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
3-5 years related experience
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
Detail oriented with a high sense of urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team setting and independently
Sourcing for big box retailer and 3rd party auditing experience are a plus
3rd party audit experience is a plus
