| Job Description | Vanu, Inc is adding to staff and is seeking an International Trade Specialist who will be accountable for performing a variety of logistical and administrative support tasks for the sales operations, finance and engineering departments. This position, reporting to the Vice President of Finance, requires strong organizational and critical thinking skills and the ability to improve processes and scale for growth in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
*Process outgoing domestic and international shipments in conjunction with customer instructions and company processes and policies.
*Manage customer order fulfillment process through supply chain expedition and Vanu Sales team/customer expectations.
*Regulatory compliance with all U.S. and foreign shipping regulations are followed (Dept. of *Commerce - EAR, Dept. of State - ITAR, Federal Trade Regulations - US Census) and all necessary documentation for the shipment is included with the shipment in accordance with foreign government custom Import requirements.
*Track status of shipment and confirm delivery of shipments and confirm that all shipment requirements have been met, including proof of delivery, time of delivery, and condition of delivery.
*Obtain product classification codes from Vanu Vendors on new products
*Update and maintain Vanu Supply Chain part number data base and their associated export/import classifications. (HTS, ECCN, CCATS, etc.).
*Document and/or licensing preparation (if applicable) for international orders
*Vendor/freight forwarder/carrier agreements and contract negotiation.
*Maintain international transportation model to maximize delivery efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize customer satisfaction.
*Interface with customers and Vanu internal groups for business development purposes as well as customer order fulfillment process.
*Manage RMA work flow and fulfillment process
*Plans and organizes work and develops procedures to meet requirements.
*Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
International shipping experience highly preferred.
*Must be able to lift 40 pounds
*Must be proficient in MS-Office applications
*Must possess excellent organizational skills
*Must be process oriented with initiative to recommend and implement process improvement changes
*Must be detail oriented
*Must exhibit effective interpersonal, written and verbal skills and be able to interact with customers and staff on a routine basis.
*Action oriented with ability to deliver timely and positive results
*Must exercise good judgment, initiative, and critical thinking skills
*Ability to grow and perform in areas of broader responsibility is preferred |
