These are consumables and are the type of materials a dentist uses on a daily basis for many common procedures. Kerr also sells some small equipment such as the award-winning Demetron Curing Light.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Product Management the Product Manager will participate in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination. Also determines, establishes and maintains overall product strategy, research and development requirements, marketing, and manufacturing coordination for new, existing, and emerging products.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage product from development from introduction to market, through appropriate exit strategies.
Determine, establish and maintain overall product strategy, specific research and development requirements, marketing, and manufacturing coordination for new, existing, and emerging products.
Conducts marketing research and analysis to develop product definitions and identifies market and industry trends.
Develops and maintains a prioritized list of market requirements for product.
Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
Collaborates with cross functional groups including: Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities and maintain customer and product market information.
Maintain communications to collect/analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line.
Manage the day-to-day progress of product in development and issues that arise with products, packaging, and field questions.
Present reports to upper management.
Qualifications
The Product Manager must be able to develop sales/market strategies and understand market trends that apply to product development cycle. Minimum requirements include:
4+ years related experience in a product management or a classical marketing role.
Demonstrated success in all aspects of marketing (positioning, product development & commercialization, pricing, packaging, promotion).
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with sales representatives on a daily basis.
Solid oral, written and presentation skills to effectively communicate and influence a cross functional team.
Strong analytical skills used to drive-decision making and experience building a business case using market and sales data and financial forecast statistics.
Effective time management skills to ensure on-time delivery of products.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university required.
MBA and/or dental/medical device industry experience preferred.
