Lean Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing tools, generating assembly aids, developing processes, writing procedures and creating routers in the MRP system. The Manufacturing Engineer also provides training to others on the proper use of tools, the use of equipment, soldering techniques, ESD plus other subjects.

GENERAL DESCRIPTIVE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical support to engineering and manufacturing staffs.
Ability to use effective problem solving techniques.
Lead product development and design change projects.
Ability to handle multiple task with immanent deadlines.
Stay informed concerning new technology in area of manufacturing.
Ability to make recommendations and incorporate new technology into specific applications.
Other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Educational Requirements: 4 year degree from an accredited university.

Minimum Years Experience: 7+ years in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Lean manufacturing is required.

Technical Training Required: 3 + years experience in product engineering.

Other Requirements: Good written and excellent oral communication skills.

Computer Requirements: Above average computer skills, PC Windows environment, Visual (Infor) experience preferred.

Supervisory Experience: None required – but preferred
