Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs UT (thickness and straight beam) and RT profile radiography on offshore piping and pressure vessels. Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Need to be competent in performing and reading profile radiography film.

• Need to be competent in reading and following P&ID’s along with SFD’s.

• Need to be competent in using the DMS 2 including, but not limited to, calibration of all probes.

• Need to be well versed in taking photos of problem areas and recording any problems.

• Need to be competent in drawing and assigning data points to critical areas on ISO drawings.

• Need to be competent in following existing ISO’s and completed re-inspection of these items and identify any problems. Competency Statement(s):

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience: Minimum 1 year experience leading a team operating in the Gulf of Mexico. Experience with Krautkramer DMS is a plus. Certificates & Licenses: Must possess a TWIC card and a completed 40 hour radiation course.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Will be required to work in harsh weather environments on a rotation or call-out basis. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, and etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 75 lbs from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling;crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with out without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
