Job Responsibilities
REHAU Plant Cullman is a major competitor in the manufacture and supply of premium products to the Automotive industry. Having recently won significant additional, long-term business with some of our most important customers, we have ambitious expansion plans, including a considerable increase in our highly-skilled workforce, at our Cullman, Alabama facility.
We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Logistics Manager for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.
Job responsibilities will also include:
Oversee Logistics of all Plant Cullman to include Injection Molding, Paint and Fabrication/Assembly operations.
Direct supervision of Logistics supervisors and coordinators
As a key Plant Cullman management team member, ensure overall plant performance meets corporate targets and develop growth strategies
Achieve forecasted profitability and Logistics efficiency targets. Align plant Logistics operations with forecasted profitability and efficiency targets
Effectively monitor and communicate all Logistics key performance indicators.
Develop a customer focused Logistics team based on continuous improvement, respect and REHAU Corporate Culture principles
Logistics team includes all plant material procurement, material handling, warehousing, shipping/receiving, scheduling, production office and IT/IS activities
Develop lean manufacturing principles including Kaizen, 5S, JIT, standardization, visual controls, Takt time, waste elimination and effective problem solving
Establish, communicate, and monitor, performance targets for all direct repor
Plan and maintain staffing levels per annual forecasts
Support all Environmental Health & Safety activities
Compliance with all applicable corporate policies and legislation
Work closely with Process and Product Engineering departments in program launches
Keeping abreast on latest processing technology & investigating if a particular new process may be beneficial to REHAU
Continued reporting on projects according to REHAU-rules and specific timelines established
Development of new production processes in order to satisfy the customer’s requirements and enable the plant to produce a new article efficiently under strict cost control and within an established time frame
Job Requirements
B.S. Degree - Engineering
Engineer with at least 8 years Logistics experience, 2 years in a supervisory position
Proven leadership and communication skills - emphasis on team building
Supply Chain Management training and experience including ERP, preferably with SAP (MM and WMS) modules
Lean manufacturing training and experience, preferably in the Auto industry.
Results driven with demonstrated bottom line and cost control achievement.
Familiar with ISO 9001 systems (maintaining and implementing)
Experience with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 systems |
