Job Summary:
Accompany selected Risk Engineer Service Provider to perform property surveys at Siemens production facilities. Complete site visits and review document findings, utilizing company report formats to detail a variety of risk characteristics. Provides professional guidance and support for the maintenance, renovation, expansion, safety and security of building structures. Prepare and deliver annual engineering reviews using industry expertise and judgment.



Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

Accompany selected Risk Engineer Service Provider to perform property surveys at Siemens production facilities. Complete site visits and review document findings, utilizing company report formats to detail a variety of risk characteristics.

Consult site management in loss prevention by presenting recommendations for risk improvement and avoidance, detailing and analyzing exposures, and quantifying a set of uniform loss events.
Interface with company locations on loss prevention recommendations, design concepts of new construction or renovation of existing structures

Review of engineering reports by account management, insurance prospect or others as needed.

Initiate timely and effective communication of the results of each site visit and provide follow-up to recommendations.

Prepare and deliver annual engineering reviews using industry expertise and judgment.
Create and issue Risk Management Property Loss Prevention Guidelines and Standards.

Interface with Siemens personnel and service provider

Complete special projects as needed.

Qualifications (include education):

Education:

Four-year college degree with major in sciences or engineering preferred. Possessing relevant professional designations or certifications such as CSP or ARM is highly desirable.
Experience & Skills:
Candidates must have at least six years of experience in a similar role with an insurer or consulting company.

A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Fire Protection, or Civil) is preferred.

Candidate should possess good communication skills (both verbal and written), be self motivated.
Deep knowledge of fire protection standards, like NFPA and FM Global.

Candidates must also have knowledge and familiarity with the processes and hazards of the above industry segments, as well as knowledge of industry standards for controlling and mitigating risks.

Overnight travel will be required and bilingual skills (English and Spanish or Portuguese) are very beneficial.

Knowledge:

Candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of property construction, occupancy, protection, and exposures, business interruption exposures and controls.

Candidate should be able to take the initiative, be an effective time manager, and have the ability to function both independently and as an integral member of a client service team.

Proficiency in MS Office Software.
