Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer - Advanced Manufacturing Engineering supports the manufacture of new products by providing design input to Product Development related to the manufacturability of a proposed design; acting as liaison between Product Development, Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Engineering to assure that project deliverables are communicated and agreed upon. Working closely with all departments as needed to assure the successful transfer of the approved design to Manufacturing.

Use Your Skills & Expertise To


Provide input to Product Development on new designs to address Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) requirements for introduction into mainstream manufacturing.

Specify and procure equipment from internal and external sources to meet the needs of manufacturing and product design.

Responsible for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Installation Qualification (OQ), and
Process Qualification (PQ) and of equipment/processes.

Coordinates pilot production activities related to equipment and process validation.

Works closely with Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering to transfer new manufacturing methods and equipment into production.

Responsible for creation and implementation of process related documentation, manufacturing procedures, test methods, BOM's and routings.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. A minimum of three years related manufacturing experience. Knowledge of Quality Assurance methods. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in handling multiple tasks in support of a high volume manufacturing environment. Good computer skills, including MS Office applications as well as database management and specialized applications.
