| Job Description | POSITION SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for directing the support crafts within the plant complex and the management of assigned personnel including coordination of contract personnel. It provides front line supervision of hourly maintenance personnel in the prescribed department ensuring that work schedules are met and that safety procedures are followed. The incumbent will provide scheduling of work and on the job training of subordinates.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•High School diploma required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•5-10years refinery experience preferred
•1-2 years of supervisor experience preferred
•Good communication skills
•Able to use Excel, Word and other software
•Fluent in English, both oral and written, required
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Support Area Maintenance with heavy equipment operators, carpenters, vacuum trucks and laborers
•Maintain current records and inspection reports for heavy equipment, fork lifts, manlifts, etc.
•Direct the change out and/or fill of vessels, such as salt towers, alumina theaters, etc.
•Ensure adherence and observation of plant and job specific safety procedures
•Coordinate contract employees activities for various crafts
•Correctly apply Plant Rules to supervision of subordinates
•Ensure time keeping, attendance records, etc. are properly maintained
•Special projects as assigned |
