Description:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment and facilities in support of production for the Boardman facility.

Duties:
•Assist and coordinate work between contractors and plant personnel for facilities and production.
•Assist and advise department personnel on equipment, systems and procedures.
•Review and schedule work orders to clarify work needed, accommodate workloads and establish priority levels.
•Review and monitor job performance of maintenance leads and personnel and advise Technical Manager of findings.
•Inspect work sites to verify work needed and brief mechanics as to work required and expected results.
•Assist in the resolution of problems with process and utility equipment and systems.
•Consult with Technical Manager to establish priorities and direct the focus of maintenance activities.
•Assist in the implementation of programs and policies set forth by the Technical Manager or TCCA administration.
•Ensure OSHA regulations are followed by all maintenance staff.
•Ensure all department rules and standards are followed.

Responsibilities:
•Manage the training of department employees to ensure they are properly trained on equipment, systems and procedures.
•Responsible for setting, standardizing, and monitoring key performance measures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
•Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance individual and team performances and guide their career development.
•Ensure all department rules and standards are followed.
•Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other RD party audits.
•Responsible for taking necessary action on all employee safety, food safety and quality problems reported or observed.

Qualifications:
•Must have 5-10 Years performing maintenance and repair of production equipment, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
•Must have 3+ years of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Demonstrated project management experience.
•Experience installing new manufacturing technology.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
•Ability to communicate effectively.
•Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
•Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
