Job Description: Product Manager, Technology and Advance Development (T&AD), JIT, Safety and Complete Seat Domain
Department: Global Technology & Advance Development Group - Domain JIT/ Safety / Complete Seat
Reports to: T&AD Group Domain Lead
The Product Manager is responsible for finding synergies and possible complete seat and/or interior component solution sets utilizing current technologies and projects being investigated within the various T&AD domains. This requires the ability to work closely with global domain leadership, marketing, Product Groups and Customer Groups. This position will be responsible to ensure technology and customer satisfaction goals are met for the identified solution sets.
The Product Manager is expected to:
Work with all Global T&AD domains to develop solutions sets that improve the value story of individual projects.
Work with all parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Delivery solution sets to completion within timeline and budget
Develop the core value proposition and messaging for the solution set.
Perform product demos for customers
Develop basic business case for solution sets
Develop design guide for solution sets for customer
Provide a brief and status report for solution sets to senior management
Take all domain/PG inputs to develop best outcome of overall solution set
Upto 10% travel is required
Qualifications
Required experience and knowledge
Minimum of 8 years experience as a Product Engineer / Program Manager
Demonstrated success defining and launching products
5+ years of experience in a job in the automotive market
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in technology / management (Engineering, Manufacturing / Quality) (MBA preferred)
Excellent teamwork skills , leadership, and globally experience
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Must be able to travel globally 10% of the time
