Job Description | The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to assist in the design, development, implementation, and documentation of products, methods, and processes, as well as engineering project support of all products produced by Niagara Cutter LLC. Create working 3D models and related production drawings for standard and special round tools.
Duties:
•Prepare and provide blueprint, process drawings, layouts and other manufacturing documentation.
•Provide technical design information to the engineering/manufacturing staff.
•Responsible for all design reviews with engineering and production when new designs are completed.
•Assist in the development of new manufacturing processes to optimize the use of new technologies and equipment.
•Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good design engineering practices.
•Prepare images for catalog support (Artwork).
•Support engineers with presentation artwork.
•Develop and maintain the Niagara Cutter tooling cross over data.
•Support and assist in the development of the design database.
•Maintain drawing archive with all revision history.
•Development of special drawing design support.
•Develop a customer approval print process.
•Attend regular meetings in support of engineering/manufacturing projects.
•Provide on-the-job training to new staff.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
•Minimum 2 years CAD experience (2D/3D)
•Excellent knowledge of machine shop practices.
•Strong math skills including Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving ability.
•Good mechanical aptitude.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills
•Machining (milling) CNC programming experience preferred but not required.
•Experience in cutting tool design and detailing.
•Experience of Microsoft Office software. |
