Job Summary:

Kautex is a leading supplier to the automotive industry and a business unit of internationally renowed Textron, Inc. We are seeking an experienced manufacturing Engineer. This position is responsible for the coordination of daily activities for Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and/or Technical Development within the facility including: design and building of new product lines, modifications and continuous improvement of existing product lines and manufacturing processes and methods. Also functions as a strategic business partner with responsibility for maintaining all safety and environmental laws and regulations, quality processes and procedures, and all other company policies.

Responsibilities to Include:



Training of technical personnel on overall machine functions, processing and troubleshooting.

Maintaining pertinent engineering systems necessary to support current production needs and future business growth. For example, Capacity Planning, Process Capability, Plant Layout, etc.

Maintain detailed engineering standards for the overall facility and all manufacturing equipment.

Oversee and support the quotation, procurement and execution of all capital equipment related projects.

Drive continuous improvement to all preventative and predictive maintenance support systems.

Mentor technical specialists and process technicians in the fundamentals of Kautex blow molding machines.

Performance to financial objectives

Understand the compliance handbook and actively support the development, communication and all compliance activity.

Support all plans and site activities related to the management of quality and environmental systems.

Drive optimization of manufacturing equipment utilization through continuous improvement.

Training of technical personnel on overall machine function, processing and troubleshooting.

Manage and support the use of problem solving tools.

Responsible for the compliance of all applicable environmental and safety regulations and guidelines including interface with government agencies as required.

Support the introduction of new products by working interdepartmentally and with other Kautex Operations.

Support lean or six sigma teams.


Education:

B.S. with a major in Engineering or other related field.

Position Requirements:



5 years experience in a high volume manufacturing automotive facility preferred

Participation in team based continuous improvement workshops

Experience with the Toyota Production System preferred

Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance

Use of Microsoft Office Suite and Auto CAD

Facilitation skills
