The Advanced Manufacturing Team provides engineering and project management expertise in support of the manufacture of new products and the advancement of existing manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineer will lead projects to completion in a cost-effective and timely manner, handle multiple projects and be responsible to plan, prioritize and execute assignments.
Duties:
Involved in developing manufacturing processes and equipment in support of new and improved products
Evaluate and assist in the development of new manufacturing technologies
Responsible for purchase, installation, debugging of new equipment
Responsible for creating operation and maintenance documents for new equipment
Analyze and resolve major process problems with machinery
Support manufacturing in the daily problem solving of new equipment
Improve safety in manufacturing operations by addressing ergonomic and other safety concerns.
Train staff on the operation of new equipment
Qualifications
Bachelors or University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study
3 - 5 years relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Related experience with steel forming equipment, machining and welding
Experience with design and manufacture of machinery for manufacturing
Skilled in hands on equipment troubleshooting and process improvements
Excellent project management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Computer literate in Microsoft Office software and CAD
Preferred
Electrical and controls knowledge and experience a plus
ProE or AutoCAD
